What Is SaaS?

Software as a service (SaaS), pronounced "Saas," is a software application deployed across the internet. Online software eliminates the need to install the application on your computer, and everyone's computer who uses the software in your business. Instead, the software is accessible online through any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari.

SaaS lets you access the program from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Plus, it enables you to make software updates immediately without updating the versions on everyone's computer, reducing the costs to own and manage the software.

SaaS applications are becoming more prevalent on the internet. Instead of paying for expensive software that becomes outdated after a period of time, companies are turning to more cost-effective SaaS solutions.
